The US Army for the first time successfully used a high-energy laser weapon to destroy drones in May 2024. The Palletized High Energy Laser System (P-HEL) has shot down several drones during hostilities in the Middle East, marking a significant breakthrough in the development of advanced technology.

The P-HEL system, developed by BlueHalo, is characterized by precise focusing of the laser on a small area of the target – this allows you to effectively destroy drones using relatively low power.
