Company Apple is working on a simplified version of the Vision Pro headset

Apple plans to release a more affordable version of the Vision Pro augmented reality helmet in 2025.

To reduce the cost of the device, the company will use OLED displays from of the Japanese manufacturer Japan Display with a pixel density of about 1500 PPI. That's noticeably lower than the Vision Pro, which clocks in at 3,386 PPI, which could affect image quality.

Also, Apple could equip the new model with a simplified processor, possibly from an iPhone instead of a Mac chip, which also will reduce the overall cost.

Despite these changes, the budget version of the Vision Pro is still expected to remain at the level of the premium iPhone.
