Yemen's Houthis attacked a ship that was much further away from the sites where they carried out almost all of their previous attacks in the Gulf of Aden.
The attack took place on Monday morning, June 24, approximately 450 kilometers southeast of the city of Nishtun, located near the border with Oman.
This was reported by the Maritime Trade Organization of the United Kingdom, reports Associated Press.
Explosions were heard on the ship, but no crew members were reported injured.
A Houthi military spokesman said in a pre-recorded statement that the movement had taken over responsibility for the attack.
Without going into details, he stated that the attack was carried out using a new ballistic missile.
