The United States called on Hamas to conclude a ceasefire agreement with Israel

The United States called on Hamas to accept a ceasefire agreement ceasefire with Israel to stop fighting in the Gaza Strip for six weeks.

Washington also called on the group, designated a terrorist group by the United States, to release about 100 hostages in exchange for the release of hundreds of Palestinians from Israeli prisons.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken told reporters in Washington that Hamas received a “very serious” attack in Cairo last weekend. the proposal, which "must be accepted", is conveyed by the  Voice America".

"The ball is in Hamas's court, – Blinken said. – The world is watching what they do.”.

He added that the fact that Hamas has not yet given its consent“shows what he thinks about the residents Gases, namely, that he doesn't think so much..

According to Blinken, the war could have ended months ago if Hamas had “laid down its arms, stopped hiding behind the backs of civilians and surrendered".
