Norway is doing everything to prevent grief from coming to its territory

The Norwegian government has approved a new plan , which provides for almost doubling defense spending until 2036.

As the press service of the Norwegian government reports, 600 billion kroner ($56 billion) is provided for defense until 2036.

In The government called it “a historic boost for the Norwegian Armed Forces.”

“Ensuring the safety of the people of Norway is the government's most fundamental responsibility. We need protection tailored to the current situation and threat landscape. This plan is a historic boost for the Norwegian Armed Forces and provides for a significant strengthening of all types of defense", – said Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.

In total, the government will spend NOK 1.624 billion on Norwegian defense over the next twelve years, until 2036. By then, the defense budget will be almost twice as large as it is now.
