5 anecdotes you didn't know about these great video games

Of the multiple easter eggs thatGTA: Vice Cityhas the creation of the Chomp in the Super Mario license, here are five very interesting anecdotes about these five video games.

#5 GTA: Vice City< /h2>

Beyond being inspired by Tony Montana, the main character in the film ScarfaceStarring Al Pacino, GTA: Vice City includes many references and easter eggs to the movies and other video games. The game's atmosphere is reminiscent of the series Miami Vice, for example. If the player's wanted index is high enough, he can be chased by the white Ferrari Testarossa of the series' heroes. In one of the missions, Tommy's bank robbery is similar to that of Michael Mann's Heat. On the other hand, the pornographic film producer Steve Scott of the Vice City studio can refer to the film director and producer Steven Spielberg. Indeed, Steve Scott is abbreviated “SS” just like Steven Spielberg. In addition, Steve Scott repeatedly tries to introduce a giant shark into his pornographic film, one of the game's wikis reads. As a drug hub, Vice City names its airport “Escobar International Airport” in reference to Pablo Escobar. While walking at sea, one can also notice the container ship sunk in a mission of Grand Theft Auto III. And to materialize the many easter eggs in the game, the player can see an egg with “Happy Easter” written on it in the building next to the VCN helicopter in the city center.

#4 the chomp in Super MArio

Weapon of Mass destruction in the Mario Kart series, an unexpected ally in Link's Awakening, guardian of a star in the first world in Super Mario 64, the Chomp is one of the flagship creatures that populate the world of the mustachioed plumber. Despite its appearance, this rough black ball with sharp teeth and constantly chained is inspired by the dog. Behind this wacky creation, Shigeru Miyamoto recalled that he was chased in his childhood by a dog, which turned out to be attached and therefore unable to reach it.

#3 Dead Space

Horror is everywhere in Dead Space. Its disturbing futuristic atmosphere, close to the Alien saga, its perfectly mastered sound design that can paralyze you, and of course its monsters that appear out of nowhere. A cocktail that allows the game to be without a doubt the game to be a reference in terms of space FPS. But the developers wanted to go further in their representation of the corpses of the necromorphs. Not finding them scary enough, they modeled them by drawing inspiration from photos of car accident victims and bodies mutilated by wars.

Fallout 3

As a good self-respecting RPG, Fallout 3offers the player several narrative choices that will directly impact the rest of his adventure. The choice, or not, to defuse the bomb located in the middle of the city of Megaton is one of them. If your repair skill is high enough, you can then prevent the city and its inhabitants from disappearing. Otherwise, you can arm the bomb and blow up Megaton. However, the Japanese version does not allow such a possibility. This is due to the trauma experienced by the country and its inhabitants during the dropping of the two atomic bombsby an American B-29 plane on the cities of Iroshima and Nagasaki, which, let us recall, caused between 103,000 to 220,000 dead.

Street Fighter

The twirling Chung-Li is among the oldest and most appreciated characters of Street Fighter players.Interesting anecdote about her design: although she was originally designed with pants, character designer Akira Yasuda decided at the last moment to replace them with tights. He also made the choice to enlarge his thighs.
