45-year-old Ukrainian woman passed data about the Armed Forces of Ukraine to a civilian man from the Wagner PMC

Since July 2022, an unemployed resident of Kharkiv has been passing information about the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the enemy. The woman sent this data to her “Wagner” via Telegram.

As the investigation established, the civilian husband of the 45-year-old woman left for the temporarily uncontrolled territory of Donbas in 2017, and after February 24, 2022, he joined the private military company “Wagner”. He persuaded his wife to give him data on the deployment of the Defense Forces.

Since July 2022, the woman began carrying out enemy tasks.

“She collected and transmitted information about the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Ukrainian military equipment in Kharkiv, and also “drained” data about other facilities in the city, in particular about the coordination headquarters for the treatment of prisoners of war,” the prosecutor's office reported.

The woman sent the data to her “Wagner” via Telegram. In 2024, she was detained, and the other day the court sentenced the accused to 10 years in prison for spreading information about the movement, movement, and location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During the trial, the correctional officer pleaded not guilty. According to her, she communicated with her former roommate solely to assess the level of security in Kharkiv and did not receive any assignments.
