300: Zack Snyder returns with an epic new project

With only two films, the 300 universe has managed to gain many fans over the years. It is therefore to the great delight of fans of Spartan warriors full of charisma and testosterone that Zack Snyder returns today with a new project that promises to be epic as can be.

We are (again) Spartans

It only took two films, 300 in 2006 and 300: Rise of an Empire in 2014, for Zack Snyder and his teams to make an impression on fans of big, testosterone-fueled spectacle.Because even if the story only very loosely takes up events that really existed, the very particular aesthetic gives each scene the impression of observing a mythical painting, notably thanks to a mastery of slow motion which rightly underlines the action and in particular the brave gestures of our heroes; without forgetting the epic music which transports us and the lines which have since become cult – such as the famous phrase pronounced by Leonidas before he pushes the Persian messenger into the void “We are Spartans“. These two films have succeeded in to earn a special place in the hearts of peplum lovers.

For a few years now, rumors have been circulating about a possible new spin-off to this universe and it was only recently that the director of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice confirmed this. Indeed, it was during the promotion of his new animated series Twilight of the Gods with our colleagues at ComicBook.comthat Zack Snyder has spoken out about producing a new series, which would be a prequel to both 300 films:

We're about to dive in and start working on it. It's really cool, I love this universe. Even in the preliminary meetings, it was already super fun to find this rich universe again. Oddly enough, it feels in many ways like Twilight of the Gods, as there is a lot of preparatory work.

So it's official, we're going to have a prequel series to the universe of 300, only you have to be a little patient before finding our favorite Spartan warriors with their inimitable style.

Tell us in the comments section what you think of the announcement of this new series 300 and don't miss the final trailer for Twilight of the Gods, all of the episodes of which are available on Netflix.
