11 Ukrainian higher education institutions were included in the ranking of the best universities in the world. Among them are polytechnics

Among the 11 Ukrainian higher education institutions included in the QS World University Rankings 2025, four  — these are technical institutions of higher education.

Five leaders of the ranking of the best universities in the world 2025

    • For the 13th year in a row, the ranking is headed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT ). 
    • Imperial College of London rose four places and took second place.
  • Oxford and Harvard Universities took third and fourth place respectively. 
  • Cambridge University rounds out the top five leaders.

Ukrainian universities in rating

Three Ukrainian universities are among the top 1,000. KNU named after him scored the most points. Shevchenko. 

Lviv and Kharkiv polytechnics occupy the same positions in rating.

  1. Kyiv National University named after Taras Shevchenko, position 701-710;
  2. Kharkiv National University named after V. N. Karazin, position 741-750;
  3. National Technical University of Ukraine "Ihor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute", position 801-850;
  4. National University "Lviv Polytechnic", position 1001-1200;
  5. National Technical University " ;Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute», position 1001-1200;
  6. National University «Kyiv-Mohyla Academy»,  position 1001 -1200;
  7. Sumy State University, position 1001-1200;
  8. Lviv Ivan Franko National University, position 1201-1400;
  9. Kharkiv National University radio electronics, position 1201-1400;
  10. Odesa National University named after I. I. Mechnikov, position 1201-1400;
  11. National University of Bioresources and Nature Management of Ukraine, position 1401+ .
