10 years after its disappearance, this cult and addictive game will make its comeback in 2025

It's a video game that drove many players crazy across the planet in 2014 before suddenly disappearing. But that's without counting on unconditional fans who mobilized so that this cult game could rise from its ashes next year.

This viral and cult game is making a surprise comeback ten years later

This is what we call a surprise return! This Thursday, September 12, the official X account of this cult game, on which millions of players have become addicted, shared the good news with fans: “I am back!“. A surprise, because it had been ten years since this cult and viral title had disappeared from the radar. We are not talking about Candy Crush but about Flappy Bird

I AM BACK!!

Just a decade ago, I was the talk of the town and soaring to new heights with my 100 million friends. Sadly, I had to leave the fame and spotlight behind to go home and find out who I really am.

This little game released on iPhone met with many fans. in just a few months a success across the entire planet. Flappy Birdis based on a simple and addictive concept. The principle is to make a small bird fly by tapping on the screen of your smartphone in order to send it as far as possible while avoiding obstacles. Developed by Dong Nguyen, this game becomes such a hit that the developer receives $50,000 in advertising revenue daily.

200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000

Although his game is a hit, Dong Nguyen notices that his creation is a source of addiction for many players. He gets scared and makes a radical decision by simply deleting Flappy Birdfrom all download platforms. Much to the dismay of fans of this mobile game.

A new version for this Flappy Bird 2024

But after a ten-year wait, Flappy Bird will finally rise from the ashes, thanks to a collective of fans who have given their all to bring the game back to life. Thus, the Flappy Bird Foundation has decided to “share the game with the world“. The collective has worked for ten years to carry out this mission, starting by acquiring the rights to Flappy Bird from Gametech Holdings.

For his part, the creative director of this new Flappy Bird said he was delighted “to offer a new experience that will keep players engaged for years to come“.

For the occasion, the collective is not releasing the game identically. This new version will offer different playable characters such as Trixi, Tekno, Peng or Quirky as well as new game modes such as an Easy mode or Flappy Bird Rivals to rub shoulders with 99 other players.

Although we don't know the official release date yet, the application will be available on PC this year and we will have to wait until 2025 for the app on iPhone and Android.
