Russia has transferred a third of its strategic bombers to the Olenya airfield, – satellite images

Thanks to satellite images, it became known that a significant number of Russian aircraft, including Tu-95MS and Tu-22M3 strategic bombers, have accumulated at the Russian Olenya airfield in the Murmansk region.

According to their calculations, as of May 15, 2024, when satellite images of the Olenya airfield were leaked online, in the photo spotted:

  • 12 Tu-95MS strategic bombers;
  • 13 Tu-22M3 strategic bombers;
  • one Tu-160;
  • < li>and two An-12 military transport aircraft.

Analysts indicate that such a concentration of enemy aircraft deserves special attention, since the Olenya airfield is one of the main ones for the Russian Military Space Forces, and It is from this air base that Russian planes take off to carry out massive launches over the territory of Ukraine.
