64% of Polish residents support the construction of fortifications on the border with Russia and Belarus.
This is evidenced by SW Research survey data for rp.pl, Ukrinform reports with reference to Polish Radio.
The survey participants were asked the following question: «Do you think that Poland should build fortifications (barricades, bunkers, trenches) on the border with Russia and Belarus?».
64.3% of respondents answered this question in the affirmative, 16 opposed. .5% of respondents, and 19.2% did not decide on the answer.
It is specified that support for the construction of fortifications on the border increases with age. 67.2% of respondents aged 50+ would like fortifications to be built. Among those under the age of 24, 53.3% of respondents answered “yes”. In addition, according to the researchers, 66.3% of men and 62.6% of women approve of strengthening the border.
The survey was conducted by the research agency SW Research on May 14-15 among 800 users of the SW Panel online panel aged 18 and older.
