ZUS has sent an important message to seniors. This is how you can increase your pension

How to increase the amount of pension from ZUS?

The amount of pensions of Polish women and men leaves much to be desired. Many seniors face difficult choices about what to give up in a given month. According to the “Goniec” portal, some seniors have the opportunity to increase the amount of the benefit paid by ZUS. What should be done to take advantage of this opportunity?

The amount of pensions paid to Poles leaves much to be desired

The amount of pensions paid to Polish women and men is far from ideal. Starvation pensions do not allow Polish seniors to meet their basic needs, and many of them face real choices about what to give up. It is no wonder that many seniors are looking for a way to increase the amount of their pension. It turns out that there is a chance for this.

The way to increase the pension paid by ZUS is to recalculate the contributions. Recalculation can occur in several cases. One of them is a situation in which after retirement the senior continued to work or pay social security contributions.

Another option is to provide ZUS with documents that it did not take into account when calculating the amount of the benefit.

These documents can increase the amount benefits

To increase the amount of the benefit in such a case, you must have documentation regarding earnings. This applies to money paid both before and after retirement.

The benefit can be recalculated after submitting an appropriate application with the aforementioned communication attached. As the “Goniec” portal emphasizes, after submitting the application, the benefit can only increase. This means that even if the calculation shows that the senior should receive a lower benefit, ZUS will leave it at the level from before the calculation.
