Fukuoka (Japan) – Marksman Simona Kubová turned her second start at the World Swimming Championships in Fukuoka into the semi-finals. In the fifty, she advanced from fourteenth place with a time of 28.14 seconds and repeated her performance in the hundred.

The most experienced Czech swimmer's performance in the warm-up was 27 hundredths behind her best performance this year. On the sprint track, she still made it into the elite sixteen. She was fifteen hundredths away from elimination. She was faster than at last year's world championship, where she took 16th place in this discipline. The semifinal awaits her at 1:36 p.m. CET.
It will be the third Czech participation in the final block at this World Cup. The best position so far is the ninth place of Barbora Seemanová in the 200-meter freestyle race. Kubová was fourteenth in the 100 meter backstroke.
