Czech swimmer Simona Kubová.
Fukuoka (Japan) – Marksman Simona Kubová turned her second start at the World Swimming Championships in Fukuoka into the semi-finals. In the fifty, she advanced from fourteenth place with a time of 28.14 seconds and repeated her performance in the hundred.
The most experienced Czech swimmer's performance in the warm-up was 27 hundredths behind her best performance this year. On the sprint track, she still made it into the elite sixteen. She was fifteen hundredths away from elimination. She was faster than at last year's world championship, where she took 16th place in this discipline. The semifinal awaits her at 1:36 p.m. CET.
