President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky responded to a petition regarding the ban on full-time education until the end of the war and addressed a request to the head of the Cabinet. This was reported on the website of the Office of the President.

The Head of State asked Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal to work out the proposals set out in the petition.

At the same time, Zelensky indicated in his response that the state policy in the field of education is determined by the Rada, and implemented by the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry of Education and other central executive authorities and local governments.

In addition, he noted that the subjects of educational activities are endowed with the right of self-government autonomy, that is, independently and responsibly make decisions on academic, organizational, financial and personnel issues.

Thus, the regional and Kyiv city military administrations, together with the founders of educational institutions, ensure the organization of the beginning of the academic year, depending on the security situation in each individual administrative territorial unit.

Let's add that the petition to ban full-time education in all educational institutions until graduation martial law and hostilities published on 8 June. It has collected more than 26.6 thousand signatures.

BAGNET reminds that the Cabinet of Ministers recommends starting the academic year in full-time schools from September 1, and in universities, except for the first courses , – from August 15.
