A few days ago, we shared this statement from ZeratoR, who announced a big change coming to the Z Event 2024. An event that has been talked about again following the statement of another streamer, Sardoche, who attracted the wrath of Internet users after being accused of wanting to sabotage it. The League of Legends fan then spoke out to defend himself.
New controversy for Sardoche on the Z Event 2024
Launched in 2016 by ZeratoR and Dach, the Z Event has become one of the unmissable events on Twitch. This charity marathon taking place over several days brings together a multitude of more or less well-known streamers, whose objective is to collect as many donations as possible for a previously chosen association. In 2022, the event had thus raised more than 10 million euros for the benefit of several associations linked to ecology, thus breaking a new record for this event which continues to exceed expectations over the editions.
And after a hiatus last year, Internet users were delighted to learn that the Z Event would be making its big comeback in 2024. An event that fans are eager to see again, hoping that their favorite streamers will be part of the line-up for this new edition. And speaking of potential participants, there is one in particular who will likely not be present, and that is Sardoche.
After explaining why he probably wouldn't be at ZeratoR's event this year, he revealed that he was inclined to organize his own charity event with the association of his choice. So far, nothing problematic, but there is one little sentence that didn't go down well with the Internet, when he says “keep some money” in the middle of his explanation.
Sardoche confirms that he will not participate in Zevent, Zerator not wanting him to be there and the vibe being too bad according to him. He then calls on his viewers to keep their money since he plans to organize his own charity event to compete with Zerator's. pic.twitter.com/hDDa84o60p

Following this, many criticized Sardoche's reaction, believing that he wanted to compete with ZeratoR and his Z Event, and that he was encouraging his community not to donate during the next edition. The accused therefore wanted to respond to his detractors on the networks, declaring that he did not want in any way to “compete with an event as important as Z Event”.
Here we go again
A text that has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with what I said
A good thousand people who come to insult me without having seen the video and who believe my privileged harasser
À what a moment I want to compete at an event as important as ZEvent https://t.co/J7ZEBqbpnD

The streamer has been the subject of waves of harassment for several years now, being considered by some to have toxic behavior.
