MÉLOVIN/Press Service
Ukrainian artist MELOVIN premiered the music video for the new single “You're Killing Me”. Filming was a real test for the artist and the crew, because it took place in the abandoned underground tunnels of Kyiv.
Watch the incredible clip on YouTube. On the network, fans of the artist's work have already appreciated his new work.
To get to the location, the creative team had to overcome more than 3.5 kilometers. However, the adventures did not end there, it turned out that these are not just tunnels, but a collector into which seasonal precipitation flows, and therefore the water level could rise at any minute.
For me it was the first such work experience. I confess: I was very nervous. And not only because of his reaction, but more worried about the team. I tried to hold back, not to show emotion on camera, and also to support others. He didn't even take a sedative, instead he became a kind of psychotherapist on the site, because anxiety was felt in everything, – admits MELOVIN.
A mood video was shot for the song “You're killing me”, which conveys the mood and emotions. MELOVIN notes that through the video one feels the closedness of space, stiffness and even the lack of breathing.
This mood video is my interpretation. Now it's your turn to try on and choose your own meaning of this work. Mine is not as important here as yours. Doubt, think, search, choose for yourself what it is about for you, – adds the artist.
We remind you that the artist performed the song “You kill me” for the first time during the Atlas United 2024 music festival in Kyiv. Then, at the end of the performance, a shot hit him in the back, and the inscription appeared on the screen: “Capture is not a sham. Captivity kills. FREE AZOV”.
