You won't want ordinary ones anymore: we prepare delicious steamed dumplings

If you used to cook ordinary dumplings, we suggest changing something. Try to please yourself and your loved ones with steamed dumplings.

Chef Oleksandr Ogorodnyk shared the recipe on his Instagram. Save for yourself to prepare delicious steamed dumplings for yourself and your loved ones.

All my life I ate ordinary dumplings boiled in water with salted cheese, and here you are, my world turned upside down… I will say one thing – it is unsurpassed,

For the dough:

  • 300 grams of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • One and a half pinches of salt
  • 25 grams of fresh yeast (or 10 grams of dry)
  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • 500 grams of flour

For the filling:

  • 800 grams of sour milk cheese
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar< /li>
  • 1 chicken egg
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla sugar

How to make steamed dumplings: watch the video

  • We pour the finished milk mixture into the sifted flour and knead the dough, first with a spoon, and then we make an effort and knead with our hands, putting the dough on the table. Knead the dough for 5 minutes.
  • Wrap the dough in cling film or cover with a towel and let it rest for 20 minutes.
  • For the filling, combine all the ingredients separately in a bowl until smooth.
  • Once the dough has rested, sprinkle it with flour along with the surface and rolling pin. and roll out the dough to a thickness of 4-5 millimeters.
  • Cut the dumplings with a metal ring or a glass with a diameter of 5 centimeters.
  • Put a teaspoon of cheese on our blanks and shape the dumplings by stretching the dough with both sides and gluing in the center, and then on the sides.
  • Cook the dumplings for a couple of 6 minutes.
  • Tip! At home, pour 3 centimeters of water into the pan, put cheesecloth on top, fix it on the sides, lay out the dumplings and cover with foil or a lid. Or instead of cheesecloth, a metal flat sieve is the same, or with a lid or with foil. (Only grease the sieve with oil so that the dumplings do not stick).

    Grease the finished dumplings with melted butter and enjoy with sour cream, honey, jam, whatever you like.
