You will want it again: we are preparing charlotte with vanilla sauce from the chef

Charlotka is one of the most popular desserts in Ukraine. And we will tell you how to cook it with a fantastic vanilla sauce.

Chef Oleksandr Gorodnyk shared the recipe on his Instagram. Save it later to please yourself and loved ones with this delicacy!

Ingredients for charlotte:

  • 600 grams of sour apples (peeled)
  • 1/2 lemon juice (for apples)
  • 3 grams ground cinnamon
  • 6 medium eggs C1 (room temperature)
  • 200 grams of sugar
  • 200 grams of flour
  • 20 grams of corn starch
  • li>

  • 20 grams of vanilla sugar
  • 10 grams of baking powder
  • 30 grams of butter (for greasing the mold)
  • 20 grams of brown sugar (for sprinkling the mold )
  • 50 grams of pecans (optional) or any other

Preparing charlotte:

1. Peel the apples and immerse them in cold water with lemon juice.
2. Beat the eggs with sugar with a mixer for 5-7 minutes until fluffy.
3. Grease the mold with butter and sprinkle with brown sugar.
4. Cut the apples with a cube.
5. Mix the dry ingredients, sift through a sieve and add in 2 stages to the beaten eggs with sugar and gently mix until all components are completely combined.
6. Put half of the apples in a mold, sprinkle them with ground cinnamon, pour half of the dough, then a layer of apples again with cinnamon and cover with the rest of the dough, carefully place the nuts on top and send to bake in an oven heated to 180 degrees for 40-45 minutes.

Important! Do not open the oven after sending the cake, because it may decrease in size.

“To test the cake for readiness, poke a wooden skewer into it, the cake will be ready when the skewer is dry after you take it out,” the chef urges.
