Iryna Farion and Verka Serdyuchka entered into a public dispute. The conflict between the linguist and the showbiz star broke out due to the use of the Russian language and surzhik.

Doctor of philological sciences and politician Iryna Farion made a critical statement about Andrii Danylko. She called him a “representative of the crisis of Ukrainian culture” for performing songs in Russian at a concert in Kyiv. This is reported by “Telegraph”.

According to her, the problem arose due to a long the occupation of Ukraine by the Russians, which led to a mental crisis. Farion called the artist “a symbol of mental crisis” and believes that he should come out of this state.

In response to the comparison of “non-literary language” with buckwheat and pasta, showman conducted his own culinary analogy with Farion during a concert in Odessa, responding to her criticism.
