Prosecutor Jorge García Juárez, from the Special Team of Prosecutors against the Corruption of Power, arrived this Friday at the Government Palace to seize the recordings from the security cameras as part of the case of Yenifer Paredes, sister-in-law of President Pedro Castillo.

The judicial resolution, to which El Comercio had access, authorizes the search and seizure of the footage, videos and recordings from the security cameras at the entrances to the Presidential Residence and the Government Palace, and the extraction of a mirror copy, on August 8, 9 and 10.

At 5:00 p.m., a team from the Public Ministry led by prosecutor Hans Aguirre and colonel PNP Harvey Colchado of the PNP Special Team, arrived at the Palace and entered through the Desamparados gate to proceed with the preliminary arrest procedure.
