The Xiaomi Mi 12 is expected to be the world’s first smartphone based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 platform – its premiere could take place in November. And although there is very little time left before the announcement (and the design of the device has already been clearly finalized), there are still no clear indications of how the model will look like. Various options are possible, including the one shown in the picture below.
This live photo was posted by one of the users of the Chinese social network Weibo. He wrote that he had heard that the Mi 12 “looks something like this.” Well, I haven’t seen a camera in the shape of the letter M yet, although if we abstract from the visual form, there is nothing new in the arrangement of the sensors along the diagonal of the conventional rectangle. For example, you can remember the Poco X3 Pro.
The letter M in this case, most likely, symbolizes the Mi corporate logo, but Xiaomi, according to the latest data, decided to abandon it. So it may very well be that the photo shows only some kind of prototype of a possible Xiaomi smartphone, which did not go into the series.
