The US Dollar Index Futures, which measures the US dollar against a basket of six major currencies, was up 0.66% to trade at $ 93.562.
In terms of other commodities traded on ICE, Brent crude for November delivery was down 3.45% to $ 41.66 a barrel, and the difference in price between Brent and WTI contracts was 1.89 dollars per barrel.
