Raúl Ruidíaz is back. In the first call of Juan Reynoso in command of the Peruvian national teamWith a view to the friendlies in September, some of the most important returns to the white and red are that of the striker and figure of the Seattle Sounders of Major League Soccer.
Raúl stopped being summoned by Ricardo Gareca for almost 1 year. His last matches were against Brazil and Uruguay on the double date of September 2021. He was a substitute in both games, but came on both times in the second half.
The other return is that of Anderson Santamaría, two-time champion and undisputed starter with Atlas in Liga MX. The defender stopped being taken into account by the 'Tiger' after some mistakes in the Qualifying matches.
In interviews a few months ago , Juan Reynoso had already indicated that Raúl was to his liking: “I like him a lot, and it's not a secret. He is one of those strikers that you don't want to mark because it seems that they are not on the pitch. One (defense) disconnects and, before you know it, he's already holed it.”
The striker made his professional soccer debut with Juan Reynoso in the 2009 season with a Universitario jersey, the year in which Ate's team won the national title.
