With folklore notes: Viktor Vinnyk and MARY shot a music video for the song "Krasivo"

Exactly one year ago, the newest album by Viktor Vynnyk and MARY “Live to Remember” was released. Among others, he included three songs from the so-called “Balkan cycle”.

The incendiary track “Black eyes” was released a little earlier and was very liked by fans, and now it's the turn of an incredibly lyrical and insightful composition called “Krasivo”.

Although the band MARY positions itself as a rock band , Viktor Vynnyk has long confessed his love for folk music, especially Balkan motifs. He explains this by the fact that he was born in the Carpathians, and the Balkans are not so far from there.

In order to enrich the video with folklore notes, the director of the clip Viktor Vinnyk invited the artists of the Honored Carpathian Song and Dance Ensemble “Verkhovyna” from Drohobych under the direction of Serhiy Dmitriev. The main roles were played by the actors of the Lviv Academic Regional Music and Drama Theater named after Yuriy Drohobych, Tetyana Mozhuk and Yuriy Fedchuk.

According to the director's idea, the actors had to experience several important stages of their lives in the frame, while the ballet and orchestra artists symbolized the cycle of life. The video turned out to be concise, but at the same time full of symbolism, content and emotions. And thanks to the bright costumes of the artists, “Verkhovyna” received an incredible Ukrainian Carpathian vibe.
