The irreducible Festive! is set to present over 80 mini-concerts over the next two months. In the midst of a pandemic, yes. Taking up its concept of “Door tours”, invented in the spring, the Baie-Saint-Paul festival will notably welcome Mara Tremblay, Random Recipe, Qualité Motel and Sara Dufour.
The idea of “Door tours” is quite simple: since the spectators cannot come to see the artists, they are the ones who go to the public. Thus, Mara Tremblay and the others will each offer 14 microconcerts of a few songs in front of as many houses.
The winter tour will take place through a “mobile music kiosk” designed by the Repère Boréal company. It has already been used for performances by Yves Lambert and his trio on December 30 and 31.
Sara Dufour will be there on January 29 and 30, Mara Tremblay on February 26 and 27, Random Recipe on March 12 and 13 and Qualité Motel on March 26 and 27. The participation of a “well-known” group will be announced on February 9.
The citizens of Baie-Saint-Paul interested in receiving a musical visit can register on the Festif’s Facebook page! in the week before a tour. The houses are then chosen through a draw.
