Windows operating system is at risk: Europe is preparing to switch to Linux

< img src = "/uploads/blogs/92/59/ib-FR9I00SGD_F4C1ed0c.jpg" Alt = "Windows under threat: Europe is preparing to go to Linux"/> ~ ~ < P > The world stands on the verge of global changes that will affect trade relations. The US accuses the EU of trade preferences but does not take into account the profits from digital services such as Steam or Straming Platforms Bring billions of dollars to the US budget.

< p >European leaders are dissatisfied with Trump's policies and are looking at response, including Windows. According to The Register, the EU is already working on its own operating system & mdash; EU OS based on Linux. Kinoite (Fedora) will be based < p > However Fedora controls the Red Hat, which belongs to IBM, which is re -subordinated to the US project. In addition, GitLab, where development is underway, is also based on San Francisco. Analysts say that it would be more logical to use European Linux jugglers, such as Opensuse from German Suse.

< p > The transition to eu os will first touch government agencies, and subsequently & mdash; business. It will be the first to test bodies with up to 1000 people. However, experts doubt success because past attempts to switch to Linux in Europe have not always been successful.

< P > A striking example & mdash; Munich. In 2004, the city moved from Windows to Linux (Limux), spending 30 million euros. After 10 years, officials returned to Windows because of difficulties in work. In 2020 there was another attempt but unsuccessful.

< p > France has achieved better results: since 2008, gendarmerie has been using Gendbuntu, and 97% of its computer; Rsquo; Also, Schleswig-Golstein's government plans to transfer 30,000 Compl & Rsquo; Rsquo on Linux by 2027.

~ < p > Whether the EU will give up Windows is unknown. The transition can be delayed for decades, but the trade war with the United States has already begun and the time for reflection is little.
