These sneakers were one of the pairs custom-made for Michael Jordan at the time, RM Sotheby's said in a press release.

This is one of 800 pairs of investor Miles Nadal's collectible shoes that will be released the auction.

Also up for auction: athletic shoes dating back to 1972, of a model called < em>Moon Shoe, designed by Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman. Their value is estimated at $300,000.

Collectors can also try to get their hands on a pair of Nike MAG, a model popularized by the film Back to the Future II with Michael J. Fox.
