Against the background of a full-scale invasion, prices in Ukraine have risen significantly. However, should we expect that the minimum wage will increase next year?
The Minister of Finance of Ukraine, Serhiy Marchenko, announced that no increase in the minimum wage is expected in 2025. He announced this during a briefing on September 24.
This year, we increased the minimum wage by 19 percent to 8,000 hryvnias. We consider it possible to maintain this amount for the whole year next year,

In addition, the minister emphasized that the government currently does not have the opportunity to further increase social standards, which was agreed with international partners.
What the budget for 2025 provides year
Earlier this month, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft state budget for 2025. Revenues are planned at the level of two trillion hryvnias, and expenditures – 3.6 trillion. At the same time, 2.22 trillion hryvnias will be directed to the defense needs of the country.
