The FIFA Council Bureau has made the following decisions in relation to the governance of two member associations.
Suspension of the Chad Football Federation
The FIFA Council Bureau has decided to suspend the Chadian Football Federation (FTFA) with immediate effect for government interference.
The suspension follows recent decisions by the Chadian authorities to permanently withdraw the powers delegated to the FTFA, establish a national committee to temporarily manage football and take control of the FTFA facilities.
The suspension will be lifted when those decisions are reversed and the FTFA and its board, led by President Moctar Mahamoud Hamid, confirm to FIFA that they regain control of the FTFA facilities.
FIFA suspends the Pakistan Football Federation
The Bureau of the FIFA Council has suspended the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) with immediate effect due to interference by third parties, which constitutes a serious breach of the FIFA Statutes.
The situation follows the recent takeover of the PFF headquarters in Lahore by a group of dissidents and the decision of some people to overthrow the PFF regularization committee appointed by FIFA and led by Haroon Malik so that Syed Ashfaq Hussain Shah assumed command of the federation.
FIFA issued a letter warning that if the illegitimate occupation of the PFF headquarters did not cease and the building was allowed access to the positions recognized by FIFA to fulfill their mandate, the matter would be referred immediately to the Bureau of the FIFA Council to decide on the matter.
As the situation has not changed, the Council Bureau has decided to suspend the PFF.
The suspension will only be lifted when the PFF regularization committee confirms to FIFA that the facilities, accounts, administration and communication channels of the PFF are once again in the possession of the committee and the committee can continue its mandate unimpeded.
