The federal Department of Environment and Climate Change, headquartered in Gatineau, comes in second, behind only Cisco Systems IT services.
Ubisoft is doing better than last year as the 5,000-employee Montreal-based company dropped from fifth to third position, reaching the podium.
Laval University (9e) and Hydro-Québec (10e) bring up the rear of the top 10 ranking.
Notably, Google tumbled to the 16the place, after having been in pole position last year.
To create its ranking, Forbes magazine asked the Statista company to anonymously survey 8,000 Canadians working in a company with more than 500 employees.
In a climate of health crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Forbes observes that many companies have left feathers, the first consequence of which is to increase the unemployment rate from 5.6% to 8.6% in within a year.
