White House: Biden to leave «G7 summit» ahead of schedule
Due to bad weather, the US President will arrive in Munich not by helicopter, as planned, but by car
US President Joe Biden will leave the G7 summit in Germany earlier than planned, due to due to bad weather, the White House said.
According to his schedule, Biden was scheduled to give a speech at the final session of the meeting of leaders of the developed economies of the world, after which he would fly by helicopter to Munich. From there, he was supposed to fly on a presidential plane to Madrid to attend the NATO summit.
However, the White House announced that due to fog, low clouds and a possible thunderstorm in the area of the Biden summit, a motorcade will deliver to Munich.
Before his early departure, Biden met with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi and summit host Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
