Which of the women should register for the military: a list of specialties

Starting from October 1, women who have a medical education or work in the medical field must be registered in the military register. This was reported by the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the order of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.< /p>

According to the law “On military duty and military service”, women who are fit for military service due to their health and age and have graduated from professional (vocational-technical) institutions , professional pre-higher or higher education and have obtained a medical or pharmaceutical specialty, are subject to military registration.

Who should register for the military?

From October 1, all medical women between the ages of 18 and 60 will be required to register for the military.  This applies to:

• doctors, 
• nurses, 
• dentists, 
• obstetricians,  
• pharmacists.

According to the new order of military registration, women with other specialties related to the military can register at their own will.

List of specialties or professions, after receiving which women are taken to military registration:

• Chemistry, chemical technologies and engineering, biology
• Telecommunications and radio engineering< /li>
• Software engineering, computer science, information systems and technologies, computer engineering, system analysis, cyber security, micro- and nanosystem engineering, automation and computer-integrated technologies
• Metrology and information-measuring technology
• Earth sciences, geography, physics and astronomy
• Food technologies, technology of production and processing of livestock products
• Provision of troops, weapons and military equipment, light industry technologies
• Physical therapy, occupational therapy, medical and psychological rehabilitation, public health, physical rehabilitation, industrial pharmacy, sanitation and expertise
• Dentistry, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, technologies of medical diagnosis and treatment
• Biomedical engineering, biotechnology and bioengineering
• Veterinary medicine, veterinary hygiene
• Accounting and taxation, marketing, management, entrepreneurship, economics , finance, banking and insurance
• Publishing and printing
• Psychology, social work, social security

Please note that military registration – this is not the mobilization of female doctors.
