In 2024, thieves stole more than 6.6 thousand smartphones in Ukraine. Among the most popular brands of gadgets that are stolen are three brands. These are Xiaomi, Samsung and iPhone.
It should be noted that the number of thefts is decreasing compared to previous years. This is evidenced by the statistics of “Opendatabot”.
According to the portal, the number of 6.6 thousand stolen gadgets is 2.5 less than in pre-war 2021. It is also 1.3 times less than for the same period in 2023.
The largest number of stolen or lost mobile phones this year was recorded in Kyiv – almost 12% of the total number. In second place is Dnipropetrovsk Region: 8.8% of the total number. Zaporizhzhia region closes the top three – 8.6%.
The most frequently stolen gadgets are Xiaomi, Samsung, and iPhone. Yes, in 2024, more than 2.2 thousand “Xiaomi”, more than 1.4 “Samsung” and about a thousand “iPhones” were already stolen or lost.
