When the electricity is turned off: how you can charge a Wi-Fi router

These days, Russia is increasingly shelling infrastructure in Ukrainian cities. Because of this, electricity is turned off en masse in populated areas. We have to think about where to charge various devices, in particular, the Wi-Fi router with which we have access to the Internet.

It is the power bank that helps us have our devices — computers, laptops, tablets and phones, charged. And in our unstable times, it is especially important to stay connected. There is a simple way to charge a Wi-Fi router using a power bank.

  1. First of all, you should see what the capacity of the power bank is. It can be different: from 2000 mAh to 50 000 mAh. The best — when the capacity is high, because then the router will remain charged longer. Therefore, find out if your device is powerful enough to charge the Wi-Fi router.
  2. In this case, it is very important to have the right cables. To connect a Wi-Fi router, you need one that can connect the power port of the router and the output port of the power bank.
  3. If you have already found the necessary cables, everything is simple here. Insert one end into the output port of the power bank, and the other — to the power port of the router.
  4. When the cables are connected, first turn on the power bank, and then — router The latter should show a Wi-Fi signal. Yes, you can connect your gadgets to Wi-Fi and be online.
  5. Usually on power banks you can see the state of charge. So make sure that it is enough to connect to the Wi-Fi router. You should also not turn on Wi-Fi on all devices. Because it will discharge the power bank faster.
