It became known which game the developers from BioWare will now focus on after the release of Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

Electronic Arts Corporation, in a recent statement, said that BioWare is ready to focus on the development of Mass Effect 5. At the same time, EA also added that some employees from BioWare have been transferred to other units, as the team “does not need the support of the entire studio” to develop the space RPG, writes Games Radar+.

“In keeping with our fierce commitment to innovation during the development and release of Mass Effect, we challenged ourselves to give our fans the best experience. We are using this opportunity between full development cycles to rethink our work at BioWare,” — says BioWare general manager Gary McKay.

An EA representative also added that “now that Dragon Age: The Veilguard is out, BioWare will focus entirely on Mass Effect.”

“The studio has the right people in the right roles to work on Mass Effect at this stage of development,” — reported in EA.

But it also became known that some of the developers of the last part of Dragon Age lost their positions, but with the opportunity to apply for other positions in EA.

Also, the reduction in the number of employees at the BioWare studio also occurred due to the redistribution of The Veilguard developers throughout EA.

“Mass Effect is not ready yet to be suddenly started working on by a team of 250, 300 people. So people needed to find other jobs in another part of EA while the Mass Effect team figured out what Mass Effect would be,” — former BioWare executive producer and Veilguard consultant Mark Darrah previously stated.
