What will the iPhone 17 Pro smartphone be like: three features that will please fans are already known

For the first time since 2019, the next generation iPhone will improve the selfie camera and offer a smaller Dynamic Island cutout.

The well-known Apple insider Jeff Pu shared new insights about the iPhone 17 Pro/Pro Max, which will be presented in autumn next year. There are three improvements at once that will delight fans.

If the reports are true, then in the next generation, Apple will reduce the Dynamic Island for the first time since 2022 – as a result smartphones will also get a reduced “metal lens” for the Face ID system.

The second main advantage of the 17 Pro will be 12 GB of RAM instead of 8 GB, as in the entire iPhone 16 line. Additional RAM, as expected to be needed to process more advanced Apple Intelligence options.

There are still rumors that the iPhone 17 Pro/Pro Max camera unit will receive a 48-megapixel telephoto camera, and the front one will be upgraded from 12 to 24 megapixels for the first time since the iPhone 11. This is an important update, since competitors in the Android world have long been getting selfie cameras with a resolution of 24, 48 or even more than 100 MP.

But it is not worth waiting for a 2nm processor in 2025, Apple will be able to finish the job above it until the release of iPhone 18. The diagonal of the screens should also remain the same – 6.3 and 6.9 inches.

Phone 17 Pro and Pro Max will offer a smaller Dynamic Island notch

There's another reason to wait for the 2025 iPhone – this is the mysterious iPhone Air. According to rumors, Apple will remove the Plus version from the model range, replacing it with an “ultra-thin” iPhone. The redesign of this device will resemble the release of the iPhone X.
