What to do if the smartphone does not catch the network

A smartphone with Internet access is an integral part of modern life. However, sometimes the device stops finding the network signal at the most inappropriate time. The reasons for the failure can be very diverse, starting from gadget malfunctions – ending with problems with communication providers. Below are a few steps to restore access to the mobile network.

Restart your device

The first recommended step – rebooting the smartphone. Temporary failures in the operation of the operating system can lead to the loss of communication with the network. Rebooting allows the system to refresh, which fixes many problems automatically.

SIM card check

The cause of the failure may lie in the SIM card itself. It is advisable to try to remove it from the device and insert it again, not forgetting to make sure that the card is securely fixed. To be more convincing, you can try to use another SIM card or install your card in another smartphone.

Network settings

Experts recommend checking whether the data transmission functions are enabled and whether the mobile network is activated. Sometimes the smartphone can accidentally go into flight mode or deactivate data transmission. To check, you need to go to the network settings and make sure that the parameters are set correctly.

Software update

An old version of the software can also cause signal loss. It is recommended to update the operating system to the latest available version through “Settings” to eliminate possible errors and increase the stability of the device.

Resetting the network settings

If the previous measures were unsuccessful, it is advisable to resort to resetting the settings. This procedure deletes all saved Wi-Fi, passwords and mobile network data. After the reset is complete, you need to reconnect the device to the desired network.

Contacting the carrier

If none of the suggested measures helped, the problem may be related to the carrier. It is necessary to call the support service and find out about the availability of technical work and other factors affecting the reception of the signal.

Instead of a resume

Most communication problems can be solved independently by following the above recommendations .
