September 14, 2021 by archyde

This afternoon and this evening, the Royal Institute of Meteorology is forecasting intense and stormy showers over the country with locally a lot of precipitation in a short time. Accumulations of 10 to 15 liters are to be feared in places. In the east of the country, there will also be a risk of hail. The maxima will oscillate between 21 degrees in the southwest of the country and locally 26 degrees in Limburg and the Liège region.

This evening, cloudiness will remain variable to abundant and thunderstorms will still be expected. During the night, the weather will become drier but the risk of a local downpour will remain. At the end of the night, mist or a fog bank will be possible in places, and in the Ardennes, low clouds will locally limit visibility. The minima will oscillate between 14 and 17 degrees over most areas. The wind will be light to moderate southerly, moving to the southwest during the night.

Wednesday, the sky will often be very cloudy with a few showers in places. In the morning, mist or fog will be possible in places. In the afternoon, the showers could become stormy in the Ardennes while, elsewhere, clearings will gradually emerge. The maxima will be between 19 degrees in the Hautes Fagnes and 23 degrees in the plains. The wind will be light to moderate and veer from southwest to northwest. At sea, the wind will quickly become quite strong from the north-west.

Thusday, the clouds will initially be numerous and carry a few showers. Then, dry weather with clearings will emerge from the coast. The maxima will be between 16 degrees in the Ardennes and 20 degrees in the plain, with a weak to moderate north-westerly wind.

Friday, the weather will remain dry with mists, mists and low morning clouds in places. Then the sky will be divided between clearings and cloudy fields. The maximums will vary from 17 to 22 degrees, under a rather weak southerly wind.

Saturday, the weather could be practically dry with cloudy periods and clearings, probably more numerous during the day from the west. Maximum of 16 to 21 degrees.

Sunday, the cloudiness will increase with a risk of showers. Maximum of 15 to 21 degrees.

On Monday, the cloudiness will be abundant with a few periods of rain or showers. Maximum of 14 to 19 degrees.
