In October 2024, a pleasant surprise awaits Ukrainians. The weather will be somewhat warmer than usual.

According to the forecasts of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center,the average monthly air temperature will exceed long-term norms by 1-1.5 degrees. This means that autumn will still provide mild warmth, and the possible precipitation will not go beyond the usual indicators.

So, we are preparing for a comfortable and classic October season, when nature will remind of itself with mild frosts and, perhaps, will give a few days of summer.

The average monthly temperature in October is usually +6…+13°, and in the Carpathians – +4…+5°. The absolute minimum recorded during this period is from -4 to -16°С, and in some regions, in particular in the North, East and Carpathians, the frost can reach -17…-23°, in the Crimea – from 0 to -3°.

The maximum high temperature recorded in October varies from +26 to +34°, in the Crimea – up to +35°, on the Carpathian peaks – +20+21°. As for precipitation, on average 29-54 millimeters fall, in mountainous areas – 64-84 millimeters, in Transcarpathia – 86-106 millimeters, and in the Carpathian highlands it can be up to 129 millimeters. Frosts are common in the first half of October.
