The summer heat in Ukraine competes with the resort weather of Spain, and this is no longer just a scientific hypothesis. Global warming is becoming part of our daily lives, but unfortunately, extra degrees don't mean extra vacations. Most of us keep working hoping for relief. What awaits us in August 2024? Who should sunbathe and who should seek coolness
According to the forecast, August in Ukraine will be moderately hot and dry, with high night temperatures. Precipitation is expected to be mostly short-term, without long periods of rain.
Northern Ukraine, in particular Chernihiv Oblast
The first two weeks of August in Chernihiv Oblast will be hot, with a temperature from +29 to +27°C. From August 15, the temperature is expected to drop gradually to +23°C at the end of the month. Nights will bring relief, with temperatures from +17 to +13°C. Precipitation will be rare, the rains will last only a few days.
South of Ukraine, in particular Mykolaiv Oblast
August will be very hot in the Mykolayiv region, with temperatures from +33 to +28°C. It's the perfect time to relax in the sun, although some days may be cloudy. Almost no precipitation is expected, night temperatures will remain warm, up to +17°C in the last week of the month.

Western Ukraine, in particular Lviv Oblast
August will be mostly cloudy in the Lviv Oblast, < /strong>but without heavy rains. The first two weeks will be warm, with a temperature of +26-27°C. In the second half of the month, the air will become cooler, with a temperature of +23-25°C. Night temperatures will drop to +12-15°C, so you should take warm clothes with you for evening walks.
Eastern Ukraine, in particular Kharkiv Region
In August in Kharkiv Oblast, temperature records are not expected, as in July. Most of the month will be cloudy, with night temperatures from +17 to +14°C.
Kyiv
The first half of August will be hot in Kyiv , with temperatures from +28 to +26°C, which will force many to look for cool places to relax. Closer to September, the temperature will remain at +25-23°C, with nighttime values from +17 to +13°C. Rains are possible, especially towards the end of the month.
