Warsaw is ready to deploy NATO nuclear weapons on its territory, – Duda

President of Poland Andrzej Duda said that Warsaw is ready to deploy NATO nuclear weapons on its territory due to the buildup of Russia's military potential in Belarus and Kaliningrad.

He stated this in an interview with the Polish publication Fakt.

He explained that this was the subject of negotiations between Poland and the United States. Duda pointed to Russia's militarization of the Königsberg area and its transfer of nuclear weapons to Belarus.

«I have already discussed this topic several times. I do not hide the fact that when I was asked about this, I declared our readiness. Russia is increasingly militarizing the Königsberg area. It recently moved its nuclear weapons to Belarus,” — explained the Polish President.

If a decision is made to station NATO nuclear weapons in Poland, this will be implemented as part of a nuclear exchange program that will allow member countries without nuclear weapons to gain access to nuclear warheads.

Duda stressed Poland's readiness to contribute to the security of NATO's eastern flank through a common policy with its allies.

Recall that the United States has strengthened the presence of strategic forces in Europe after Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin threatened to use nuclear weapons against NATO. if the bloc countries send military personnel to Ukraine.
