The “coldest in the world” festival adapts to the pandemic and invites itself into the lounge for electronic music lovers. Igloofest has concocted five festive evenings with big names from the local scene, which we can follow between February 13 and March 13 on Facebook, YouTube and Twitch.
Each event will have its own setting. Cri opens the ball on February 13 at the La Ronde site with Jesse MacCormack and Sophia Bel. We return to the island for the performance of Jacques Greene in the Old Port the following week, on February 20.
Igloofest continues on February 27 at the Stewart Museum (performance by Lou Phelps), while, on March 6, Misstress Barbara will be posted on the roof of the Videotron head office, which overlooks Square Victoria. The virtual edition of the festival will end on February 13 with a musical “marathon” from noon to midnight at the SAT, the guest list of which will be unveiled later.
In addition to free online performances, the festival will broadcast online clips and a mini documentary. Igloofest hopes to be able to mark its 15th anniversary with an event in the flesh, in the winter of 2022.
