Von der Leyen said when Ukraine will be able to become a member of the EU

Everything depends on how quickly Ukraine will is carrying out reforms, said the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, in an interview with The Washington Post.

"It depends on when the country will be ready to join. Of course, there are criteria for the judicial system, the rule of law, and economic readiness. There is a whole set of criteria that must be met in order to join the single market and the EU,” she said.

Von der Leyen added that she could not say when Ukraine would join the EU, as it depends on the speed of reforms. .
