Volyn customs officials discovered contraband equipment worth 330,000 hryvnias at the border

At the checkpoint “Ustylug” on the Ukrainian-Volyn border, customs officials stopped a regular bus whose driver tried to illegally import electrical equipment. This was reported on October 30 in the press service of the Volyn customs office.

Yes, during the inspection of a regular bus connecting Szczecin – Kyiv customs officials discovered hidden tablets, cameras, phones and smartwatches. The total cost of equipment – UAH 330,000.

For violation of customs rules, the bus driver was charged with a report under Part 1 of Art. 483 of the Customs Code (actions aimed at moving goods across the customs border of Ukraine with concealment from customs control). The sanction of the article provides for a fine in the amount of 50 to 100% of the value of items for violation of customs rules with or without confiscation of goods.
