The Croatian brand is engaged in the production of electric hypercars. A couple of years ago VW managed to buy about 10% of Rimac shares through Porsche. Now the readiness to transfer the Bugatti brand to the latter is announced. In response to such actions, the German concern hopes to receive another percentage of the shares. The sources do not specify which share is in question. Volkswagen Bugatti has been owned since 1998.
Recently, VW has made no secret that it is changing its policy, focusing on electrification. Rimac has the relevant experience, so there is a possibility that the specialists of the Croatian company will give the world a new Bugatti with an electric power plant. Chances are that the model will compete with the Tesla Roadster.
