Vilebrequin, it didn't end well

In December 2023, the French “YouTube game” was shaken by a terrible earthquake: the Vilebrequin duo, known for its videos focused on automobiles, announced its separation. On this occasion, he had published a long video soberly entitled “End.” Pierre Chabrier and Sylvain Lyve had then explained, among other things, that they wanted to flourish each on their own. Despite the palpable sadness due to the end of this adventure, the two men seemed to end their collaboration on good terms. That time now seems distant

Vilebrequin: Pierre settles his scores with Sylvain in video, the remarks are shocking

This Thursday, Sylvain Lyve published a video on his personal YouTube channel. He is conducting experiments with the “1000tipla” car, dear to the duo and the fans. For his former buddy, it was the straw that broke the camel's back. This straw therefore pushed him to put a video online in turn. It had already been ready for weeks, but he had held back from publishing it. But he now needs to settle his scores once and for all, after he discovered that Sylvain had bought the Multipla for a pittance, without asking his prior agreement. But this is clearly not the first time that Sylvain Lyve has made a personal decision that goes against the interests of the duo, according to Pierre Chabrier in his video “The truth about Vilebrequin and the 1000tipla”.

pierre chabrier vs sylvain lyve: war is declared?

In a video nearly 40 minutes long, Pierre Chabrier speaks out about the separation of Vilebrequin and is very blunt. While one might think of a settling of scores, it would seem rather that Pierre is trying to assert his truth, after months of rumors, misinformation and harassment.Tears well up in his eyes several times as they discuss the deterioration of his relationship with Sylvain Lyve, whom he accuses in particular of having made numerous decisions without his agreement, contrary to the rules that the duo had set for themselves.

He also explains that his former colleague had drastically changed his behavior over the years, going so far as to be rude and aggressive towards his colleagues,to the point that Vilebrequin was no longer well-regarded in the professional world. He is said to have, among other things, promised a permanent contract to a colleague (Pierre Chabrier's partner), before refusing it at the last minute, without a valid explanation and without consulting his friend before making his decision. Worse: after the end of Vilebrequin, Sylvain is said to have tried to get Pierre's friends to sign contracts in order to prohibit them from working with him.Only a few people are said to have accepted.

If we invite you to watch Pierre Chabrier's video in its entirety to get (his version of) the whole story, the videographer explains that he was very affected by the situation and more particularly by the abrupt end of Vilebrequin. According to him, it was Sylvain who decided to end the channel abruptly, while he would have preferred that it be done over several months, out of respect for their community. After being harassed online, he even “thought the worst”, implying that he was about to commit suicide one evening, while he was driving home in the pouring rain.

It is unfortunate that Vilebrequin's beautiful adventure has taken such a turn, especially since the case surrounding the 1000tipla could continue in court. On social networks, many Internet users support Pierre 100% and deplore Sylvain's behavior, while others try to calm tensions and remind us that we only have one point of view on this whole story for the moment. To be continued, then.
