Vanity Fair magazine reminded Americans who they voted for

Donald Trump

The American magazine Vanity Fair put a photo of Donald Trump on the cover with the inscription “34 criminal Accusations. Two impeachments. Four more years. Donald Trump won the US presidential election. He became the second president in 120 years to return to the White House after losing the election after his first term.

It is noted that this is only a digital cover, which will not appear in paper magazines.

The twice-convicted criminal with authoritarian tendencies will return to the White House as the 47th president of the United States, the author captioned the main photo of his article about Trump's return.

Recall that in January 2021, the House of Representatives announced impeachment against Trump for inciting a riot. While Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said during the trial that Trump bore “practical and moral responsibility” for the attack on the Capitol, he did not press for conviction, helping Trump avoid an outcome that could have barred him from running for the federal legislature altogether . office again.

After his acquittal, the former president eventually returned to his Mar-a-Lago resort, where the FBI came under investigation the following year over his alleged mishandling of classified government documents.< /p>

On November 15, 2022, just a week after the “red wave” failed to materialize for Republicans, Trump formally announced his candidacy in a rambling, low-key speech that even drew derision from typical allies.

At the time, much of the political establishment considered him persona non grata, mired in political and personal scandal, while his main Republican rivals offered the party different ways forward.< /p>
