The Ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom, former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny met in London with 8-year-old gymnast Oleksandra Pascal.

The athlete shared this news on Instagram.

Olexandra Pascal flew to London with the Ukrainian football club “Shakhtar” for a match against “Arsenal”.

Alexandra Pascal lost her leg due to the Russian missile attack on Zatoka, in the Odessa region, which occurred on May 16, 2022. The six-year-old girl spent more than two weeks in intensive care. She had an open fracture of the arm, four broken ribs, a head injury, and numerous shrapnel wounds. The mother of the 8-year-old gymnast lost her hearing due to the shelling.

After the amputation, Alexandra was fitted with a prosthesis abroad, and two months later she started walking again. Pascal continues to practice rhythmic gymnastics and participate in competitions.
