US shows Tomahawk launches against Yemeni Houthi targets (video)

US Central Command (CENTCOM) has shown the launch of Tomahawk cruise missiles against Houthi targets in Yemen. The strikes took place on December 31, 2024.

A video of the missile launches appeared on the official CENTCOM page on the X social network. The Tomahawk subsonic cruise missile strikes were carried out from destroyers in the Red Sea, targeting Houthi command, production, and weapons storage facilities.

“US Navy guided missile destroyers from the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group operating in the Red Sea launched Tomahawk strike missiles (TLAMs) at Iranian-backed Houthi command and control facilities, weapons production, and storage facilities in Yemen on December 31, in the US Central Command area of ​​responsibility,” the statement said. department.

Tomahawk – what is known about this missile

Tomahawk – is an American long-range cruise missile designed for high-precision destruction of ground targets. It was created by Raytheon and is used by the US Navy, as well as a number of allies.
